The Role
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging, evidence-rich lessons across KS3 and KS4, challenging pupils to think geographically about the world around them and develop strong skills in analysis, extended writing, and spatial reasoning. You will use assessment information intelligently to adapt your teaching, identify pupils who need additional support or greater stretch, and contribute to departmental planning and resource development as a valued member of the Humanities team. You will play an active role in the school's fieldwork programme, parent engagement activities, and wider enrichment calendar, bringing energy and expertise to every aspect of your role as a Geography Teacher in this school.
 
What the School is Looking For
This permanent Geography Teacher position will suit candidates who:

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are in the final stages of completing a UK-recognised teacher training programme
• Graduated with a 2:1 or above in Geography or a closely related discipline from a reputable university - Russell Group or equivalent strongly preferred
• Can demonstrate meaningful classroom experience within a UK secondary school setting through timetabled placements or a substantive teaching post
• Are able to evidence well-structured, progressive lessons that have produced clear and measurable gains in pupil understanding and attainment
• Are comfortable and effective within a consistent whole-school behaviour framework
• Hold full legal entitlement to work in the UK - the school is not able to offer visa sponsorship

Salary & Contract
Inner London MPS: £40,317 to £52,300, with UPS up to £62,496. TLR opportunities may be available for candidates with relevant fieldwork coordination or Humanities leadership experience.
