Data Engineer

Role Title: Data Engineer SC Eligible Location: Remote (Telford 2 x monthly - Worthing also a possibility) Contract Tenure: 6 Months Start Date: 01 June 26 We are seeking Data Engineers to support delivery within a large-scale data exploitation programme. The role will focus on developing and maintaining ETL pipelines within an established Talend framework, alongside working with Oracle RDS databases and CI/CD pipelines. Key responsibilities: Design and develop ETL solutions using Talend Build and maintain Oracle SQL and DDL artefacts Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements (GitLab) Investigate and resolve defects across development and testing phases Conduct component testing, including test data creation Support QA, performance testing, and production releases Perform peer reviews of development and test artefacts Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members Contribute to agile ceremonies and cross-team coordinationSkills and experience: Strong hands-on experience with Talend (essential) Experience with Oracle databases (preferably RDS) Solid SQL and data modelling capability Experience working within structured SDLC and testing frameworks Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab) Experience in enterprise or public sector environments desirable SC Eligible
