About the role

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - ARP (EYFS & KS1) Location: Hackney Start Date: September 2026 (July 2026 start available for the right candidate) Contract: Full-time, long-term Daily Pay: £120 increasing after 12 working weeks. SANZA Teaching Agency are exclusively recruiting for an exceptional HLTA to join a well-regarded primary school in Hackney, working within their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP). This is not a role for a generalist. The school is seeking a highly experienced, confident practitioner who can take a leading role within the ARP and make an immediate impact on provision for pupils with autism and complex needs, particularly across EYFS and Key Stage 1. The Role You will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the ARP, supporting teaching and learning, leading interventions, and helping to shape a nurturing, structured, and highly responsive environment. For the right candidate, a July 2026 start is available to allow for a smooth transition and strong start in September. The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold HLTA status (or equivalent experience at this level) Have extensive experience supporting children with autism and complex needs Be confident leading sessions and supporting staff within the ARP Bring a strong toolkit of strategies (e.g. communication systems, sensory regulation approaches, behaviour support techniques) Have a deep understanding of early development, particularly within EYFS and KS1 Be proactive, resilient, and highly adaptable Be passionate about inclusive education and achieving the best outcomes for every child The School Offers: A supportive and forward-thinking leadership team A well-resourced ARP with a strong focus on specialist provision Opportunities to take on responsibility and contribute to the development of the provision A collaborative and inclusive school culture This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA ready to step into a leadership-focused role within a specialist setting and truly make a difference.
