About the role
TimePlan Education are looking for a qualified Primary Teacher with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. If you have experience in a SEND school or base, are confident working with EHCPs, and can adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning styles, we would love to hear from you.
This role sits within a setting that supports children with additional needs, but is less intensive than a SEND school environment. You'll work with a small class of 5-8 pupils, supported by 2-3 dedicated support staff, creating a warm, energetic and highly rewarding atmosphere. The workload outside of school is lighter than in many mainstream roles, but the days are active, varied and full of moments that genuinely make a difference.
Expectations / About the Role
Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that spark curiosity and excitement.
Create a nurturing learning environment tailored to each child's individual needs, supporting both personal development and academic progress.
Facilitate communication and interaction opportunities, helping pupils express themselves and build meaningful connections.
Support emotional regulation and resilience, promoting positive mental health and well-being.
Work collaboratively with a skilled team of professionals to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere every day.
SEN Primary School Teacher - Requirements
Qualified Primary Teacher with QTS.
Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and how to adapt teaching effectively.
Experience teaching pupils with a range of additional needs in a SEND school or base.
Ability to work confidently with EHCPs and tailor learning accordingly.
Hold (or be willing to apply for) a DBS on the Update Service.
