I’m currently partnering with a leading UK-listed business as they look to appoint a Group Financial Accountant to join their high-performing Group Finance function.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for a technically strong qualified accountant looking to step into a broad and highly visible role within a dynamic, evolving business that continues to invest heavily in growth, digital innovation, and expansion across multiple revenue streams.
Working closely with senior leadership, the Group Financial Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting across the Group, ensuring a strong control environment, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to several high-profile finance projects.
The position offers excellent exposure across the wider business, regular interaction with senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to get involved in technical accounting, external reporting, audit, controls, systems improvement, and wider strategic initiatives including transformation projects and potential M&A activity.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly group consolidations, ensuring accuracy and completeness across multiple entities
- Supporting the delivery of internal management reporting and financial analysis for senior leadership teams
- Assisting with half-year and full-year external reporting, including listed group financial statements
- Preparation of statutory accounts across group entities in line with regulatory requirements
- Acting as a key contact during external audit processes, supporting both interim and year-end audits
- Preparing technical accounting papers, disclosures, and ensuring ongoing IFRS compliance
- Maintaining and strengthening the Group’s financial control framework and key balance sheet oversight
- Supporting corporation tax, VAT compliance, and liaising with external advisors where required
- Driving continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting processes, and automation initiatives
- Partnering with divisional finance teams and supporting wider strategic business projects

The ideal candidate will be:
- ACA / ACCA / CA qualified (or equivalent)
- Coming from a strong group reporting, financial accounting, or technical accounting background
- Experienced within a listed, private equity-backed, or complex multi-entity environment
- Technically strong with solid IFRS and statutory reporting knowledge
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and engaging with senior stakeholders
- Commercially aware, proactive, and motivated by continuous improvement
