HR Business Partner
Location: Chester (Hybrid working available)
Salary: Circa £60,000
Contract: 2-Year Fixed Term Contract
Sector: Engineering / Technical Environment
Security Clearance: Subject to SC Clearance
We are recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a well-established organisation operating within a highly regulated, technical environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional to play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service and supporting business operations across multiple functions.
This role would suit a CIPD Level 5 qualified HR professional with strong employee relations experience and a background in recruitment, policy implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
The Role
As an HR Business Partner, you will support the HR Manager and wider leadership team in delivering a professional and compliant HR service across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading recruitment and selection activities, attracting high-quality candidates aligned with business objectives
* Supporting the delivery of a professional HR service across the organisation
* Providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters
* Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, policies, and best practice
* Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
* Building strong relationships with managers and key stakeholders to support operational success
* Supporting audits and continuous improvement activities
* Assisting with performance review and objective-setting processes
* Supporting graduate development initiatives and international assignment arrangements
* Ensuring security and compliance processes are maintained
* Providing support and cover within the HR team as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (CIPP qualification beneficial)
* Approximately 5 years’ experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role
* Experience working within a technical, engineering, or regulated environment
* Strong employee relations experience and the ability to provide practical HR advice
* Proven experience in recruitment and selection, including competency-based interviewing
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with HR systems
* Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
