Drainage Engineer

Job Title: Drainage & Plumbing Engineer Location: Covering Greater London area, can travel up to 100 mile radius Salary: £36,400 – £44,200 (depending on experience) + Bonuses + Overtime Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 18:00 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About Us: United Drains is one of the UK’s leading commercial plumbing and drainage companies, now operating across the country. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit experienced and skilled Drainage Engineers to join our team. Role Overview: We are seeking hands-on, reliable, and proactive Plumbing Engineers with Drainage knowledge, minimum of 2 years’ industry experience. The successful candidate will be confident working independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality plumbing and drainage solutions across a wide range of commercial sites. Key Responsibilities: * Repair and maintain plumbing systems fixtures & appliances * Unblocking drains and carrying out fault-finding * Conducting CCTV drainage surveys and compiling reports * Performing high-pressure water jetting * Carrying out drain excavations and installations * Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance * Preparing and submitting quotations * Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations Essential Requirements: * Minimum 2 years' experience in drainage engineering * Proficient in drain laying, CCTV surveys, jetting, and quoting * Strong technical and problem-solving skills * Positive attitude and strong work ethic * Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal) * Ability to work independently and within a team * Full UK driving licence (required) * Willingness to work overtime and occasional call-outs * Minimum availability of 45 hours per week * Clean DBS What We Offer: * Competitive salary: £36,400 – £44,200 (based on experience) * Overtime evenings and weekends double pay on site * Company-branded vehicle * Full uniform and PPE provided * 20 days’ holiday plus 8 bank holidays * Company pension scheme * Ongoing training and career development * Progression opportunities into senior field-based roles * Friendly, supportive team and working environment If you’re a skilled and motivated Drainage Engineer looking for a long-term career with a reputable and growing company, we’d love to hear from you.
