We seek an experienced, driven, and insightful Social Research Manager to lead and execute research projects and manage third-party providers.


The Research Lead will be responsible for managing and executing a variety of public opinion research projects, from initial design through to data collection, analysis, and results presentation. This role requires expertise in both qualitative and quantitative social research methods, and an ability to extract actionable insights that drive decision-making. The successful candidate will be skilled at developing research projects that address practical aims, developing data collection tools, analyse qualitative and quantitative data, and translate research findings into compelling and actionable stories for diverse stakeholders.


This newly created role will manage projects in Latin America, therefore, fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese are required, as well as a background in Latin America, either through having lived and worked there previously or currently being based there - essentially you will be familiar with the culture, politics, and research landscape and know what methodologies are appropriate, how to engage and collaborate with contractors and local teams.


We seek a minimum of 6 years previous experience in primary market research or conducting social research in the fields of political and social psychology, and behavioural studies with experience with complex mixed methodologies/cross countries research projects. Previous experience managing multiple projects, working within deadlines, and balancing long-term and short-term priorities and working with external vendor partners is required.


Technical skills required:

  • Proficiency in social quantitative research design, survey and questionnaire development, and basic quantitative data analysis.
  • Proficiency in qualitative research design, discussion and interview guide development, and qualitative data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and data literacy, including the ability to assess analytical approaches, datasets, and outputs.
  • Significant public opinion research.
  • Demonstrated experience translating data into stories and actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, including fluent business English.


Qualifications and Attributes

  • Strategic thinking with an interest in politics, society, the environment, the economy, and other relevant topics.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field


Please note there will be international travel of approx 6 trips a year of 4-7 days each. xwzovoh As a remote first role you can be based in UK, Europe or Latin America but sponsorship is not available.
