Kitchen Manager - Café & Adventure Golf Venue
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £32,000 to £34,000 DOE + benefits - DOE
Daytime hours (typically 9am-5pm), no late nights, alternate weekends

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Manager to take full control of a rapidly expanding café operation attached to a newly launched, high-footfall adventure golf site.
Opened at the end of March, the venue has significantly outperformed expectations - with bookings at capacity and a dramatic increase in café demand. As a result, the kitchen has quickly evolved into a much larger, fast-paced operation, and now needs a confident leader to take it forward.

The Opportunity
Take full ownership of the kitchen operation
Restructure and build a high-performing team
Implement strong systems around stock, costing, and workflow
Support the business in scaling sustainably as demand continues to grow
Play a key role in shaping the next phase of the operation
What You'll Be Doing
Lead all day-to-day kitchen operations
Recruit, train, and develop your team
Take control of menu costing, GP, and stock management
Ensure full compliance with Food Hygiene, H&S, and Environmental Health
Work closely with the wider business to support growth and service standards
What We're Looking For
Proven experience running a kitchen independently
Strong understanding of menu costing and financial controls
Confident leader who can take ownership and make decisions
Background in fast-paced environments (pubs or high-volume cafés ideal)
Solid knowledge of H&S and compliance
Local candidate preferred (for flexibility and keyholding responsibilities)
