Are you an experienced Assembly Fitter? Join a leading manufacturer in the Northwest, the role is working a day shift Monday to Friday.

Working within the Service and Repair team, the Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, stripping down, repairing, and rebuilding industrial gearboxes, and writing detailed technical reports for the sales team to send to customers. They play a supporting role to the Service Engineer and the Service Supervisor in the Team. The Engineer and Supervisor agree solutions and diagnoses, and the Technician implements, maintains and repairs according to the solutions agreed.

Hours of work are to be 7.30am to 4pm Mon to Thursday 7.30am to 12.30pm with an early finish Friday!

The Job

Meticulous strip down and inspection of Company and non- Company gearboxes when they are returned

Producing detailed reports of the findings of inspection work, identifying wear and damage

Assisting with the rebuilding of gearboxes.

Supporting Service Engineers on UK customer visits.

Performing 3D scans of gearboxes and components as part of the reverse engineering process

Working across the fitting shop as and when needed

About You

Hands-on mechanical experience with power transmission equipment

Practical experience using measuring and lifting equipment.

A customer-focussed mentality

Willingness and ability to adhere to company health and safety rules and best practices

Being organised and self-motivated, with high attention to detail.

Work well in a team environment. xwzovoh

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Competency with using Microsoft Word, Excel and online project management tools

A clean driving licence.
