Location: Isle of Wight
Salary: £35,392 – £42,618 per annum + 10% Welcome Bonus
Contract: Permanent, Full-time hours
Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join a specialist prison healthcare service providing integrated mental health and substance misuse care within a secure setting.

Role Overview
In this role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of service users with complex mental health needs
- Complete comprehensive assessments, care planning, and reviews
- Act as a Care Coordinator under the CPA framework
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions (1:1 and group work)
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency and offender health teams
- Support individuals from initial assessment through to discharge or release
- Facilitate hospital transfers under the Mental Health Act where required
- Provide clinical guidance and supervision to junior staff
Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Significant experience within mental health services
- Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act
- Experience delivering interventions such as CBT, counselling, or motivational interviewing
- Experience in supervision or leadership desirable
- Ability to work effectively in a secure and fast-paced environment
Important Information
- This is a prison-based role
- Prison clearance is essential prior to commencement (support provided through the process)
- Some weekend working may be required
