This well-established clinic, known for its exceptional client relationships and comprehensive in-house capabilities, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team, in based in a historic town known for its rich history, charming countryside, and lively community. A short drive from Northampton, perfectly situated halfway between London and Birmingham.
Imagine working in a practice where the owners are full-time practising vets, leading by example and fostering a collaborative environment. With a team of around 12 vets, including surgical and medicine certificate holders, and a robust nursing team of 22, you’ll be surrounded by expertise and support. The practice also boasts a strong reception and administrative team, ensuring smooth operations and allowing you to focus on what you do best.
This full-time role is perfect for a vet with experience in routine surgeries, and while more complex surgical experience is a plus, it’s not a necessity. Effective communication, professionalism, a good work ethic, and strong time management skills are essential. Flexibility and a can-do attitude, paired with a sense of humour, will see you fit right in with this friendly and supportive team.
You’ll enjoy a varied first opinion caseload, with opportunities to engage in both routine and complex surgical procedures. The practice is equipped with advanced technology, including laparoscopy and endoscopy kits, and a comprehensive in-house lab. Exposure to the surgical referral department will further enhance your skills and professional growth, if this area is of interest.
The role offers a balanced work-life schedule with a 4-day week from 8.45 am to 5.30 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break and 15-minute consults. The on-call rota is 1:6 weekends, with no bank holiday openings, ensuring you have ample time to recharge.
The salary is competitive, with flexibility based on experience. Benefits include a company pension, private healthcare, generous CPD allowance of £2000 per annum, support for further education, professional memberships, and a substantial holiday allowance.
