CNC Turner / Setter Operator – Doosan Puma (Newcastle) Location: Wallsend, Tyne & Wear (NE28) Job type: Permanent, full-time Salary: £16.00 per hour (overtime at time and a half when available) Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–12:30pm The opportunity ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) on behalf of a well-established drilling equipment manufacturer in the Newcastle area. With over 20 years in the industry and a reputation as one of the UK's leading drilling equipment suppliers, our client manufactures high-quality casings, subs and drilling tools — and is continuing to invest in and expand its workshops. This is a great opportunity for a capable CNC turner to join a busy, growing manufacturing team, with an early finish every Friday. The role * Setting and operating CNC turning machines — Doosan Puma * Producing precision-machined components (casings, subs and drilling tools) * Working to engineering drawings and required tolerances * Carrying out quality checks on machined components * Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area About you * Proven experience as a CNC Turner / Setter / Operator * Experience on Doosan (or similar) CNC lathes * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings * Quality-focused with good attention to detail * Reliable, motivated and a good team player What's on offer * Permanent position with an established, growing manufacturer * £16.00 per hour, plus overtime at time and a half * Monday–Thursday days with an early finish every Friday (12:30pm) * The chance to join a skilled, dedicated team in a well-equipped workshop Interested?
