Job Title: Freelance Site Manager (Civils) Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Start Date: April 2026 Duration: 20 Weeks About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee and deliver a key project based in Corby. This 20-week contract is ideal for a proactive and hands-on professional with a strong background in civil engineering, earthworks, and remediation. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Monitor progress against programme and report to senior management Oversee quality control and ensure works meet required standards and specifications Maintain accurate site records, including RAMS, permits, and daily logs Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager within civils, earthworks, and remediation projects Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice SMSTS certification (essential) First Aid at Work (preferred) CSCS card (Black or equivalent) Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities What We Offer Opportunity to work with a respected environmental and civil engineering contractor Competitive freelance rate Dynamic and supportive project environment If you are interested and want to hear more, apply for the role and Chloe will drop you a call
