Humanities Teacher | Job Summary
This Humanities Teacher position is based at a rapidly expanding Specialist Independent School, conveniently located just a two-minute walk from Blackheath station and close to the bustling high street, filled with bars and restaurants. The school boasts exceptional facilities, including individual iPads for each student. Additionally, a second site has opened featuring a state-of-the-art learning environment designed to support practical and engaging Humanities teaching.
This provision is seeking a proactive individual with an excellent personality who is confident in delivering engaging History, Geography, and RE lessons, and who is looking to make a real difference to these secondary school students’ education and wellbeing.

Humanities Teacher | Job Summary
- Humanities Teacher – Commencing in September (Permanent)
- Full-time term-time only Humanities Teacher role
- Work alongside Specialist Teachers with extensive experience in high performing Independent Schools.
- Role paying Inner London M1–UPS3
- Welcoming ECT Applications
- Teach Humanities across Key Stages 3–4, delivering History and Geography, and RE at Key Stage 3
- Support students with preparation for GCSEs and functional academic pathways
- Deliver highly engaging lessons for small groups of up to 6 students and on a 1:1 basis
- Support students with SEMH, ASD, trauma-inflicted backgrounds, and behavioural challenges
- Assist with all aspects of the school day, integrating Humanities teaching with holistic care
- Provide the best educational experience for children in an Alternative Provision setting
