PCB Layout Engineer

Location: Stevenage (2-3 days per week onsite) Duration: 6 month initial contract Rate: £60ph UMB (Inside IR35) Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain UK SC Clearance. Role details: Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled PCB Layout Engineer to join their team in Stevenage on a contract basis. This role requires strong expertise in PCB design and layout, contributing to critical projects with high reliability standards. Key Responsibilities: Providing full PCB design layouts based on electronic, mechanical, and environmental requirements Managing library services, technical support, component placement, signal routing, and peer reviews Creating final documentation ensuring compliance with design constraints and prevailing design rules Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time Ensuring the final hardware meets project deliverables and design requirements Adhering to company-specific design rules and processes throughout project execution Job Requirements: Thorough knowledge and experience in PCB design processes and best practices Understanding of IPC standards for high reliability products Experience with PCB fabrication processes and technologies, including materials and stack-ups Strong communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders Preferably, familiarity with Zuken CR5000 or CR8000 Security Clearance (SC) required to start Ability to work both on-site (2-3 days per week) and remotely as needed If you are a PCB Layout Engineer with the required skills and experience, and you are interested in contributing to important Defence & Security initiatives, we would love to hear from you.
