Application Support Lead - Hybrid

JOB TITLE: Product Support Team Leader LOCATION: Gloucestershire Industrial Automation SALARY: £50 - 55k (will also offer a relocation package) My client is currently seeking to recruit a Product Support Team Leader. Applications are welcome from engineers with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial machine automation. This role may be ideal for an experienced Control Systems Engineer that would be happy transitioning into a Support Team Leader role. Or someone currently in an Applications, Technical Support, Product Support, Customer Support type role. Provision of technical support to existing customers via multiple media channels Support and training of in-house and external applications engineers. Work and Travel Office based role with some flexible remote working Flexible working hours (meaning you can finish early some days) Responsibilities may require domestic and international travel Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electronic engineering Ability to communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing A valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK A valid UK driving licence Training will be given in areas which are new to the applicant. Experience using stand-alone automation systems; PLC or Motion Controller. Knowledge of a programming language; for example C, BASIC, Python. Programming with the standard IEC61131-3 languages. Application and configuration of Industrial Robots. Using real-time deterministic networks, e.g. Programming and configuration of touch-screen HMIs Practical experience of electrical interfacing between devices in an automation system.
