Project Administration Officer (Part-Time, Flexible Working) Location: Home-based, ideally located within easy travelling distance of the East of England or London. The role includes monthly in-person team meetings. Salary: £26,000 – £30,500 (full-time equivalent, depending on experience) Join a team shaping the future of water in the East of England. Our client is looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Administration Officer to support our growing portfolio of projects tackling one of the region’s most important challenges: water security. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key supporting role in meaningful, high-impact work—helping deliver projects that make a real difference to agriculture, the environment, and communities. About the Role You’ll provide essential administrative support across a range of projects, working closely with the team to ensure smooth delivery. Initially, your focus will be on supporting a major agricultural grant scheme in Cambridgeshire, before expanding into wider project support across the organisation. This is a varied role where no two days are the same—ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, detail, and teamwork. What You’ll Be Doing * Supporting project managers with financial administration and purchasing processes * Managing grant applications using Microsoft 365 systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance * Organising meetings (online and in-person), including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and follow-ups * Assisting with workshops and events logistics across the East of England * Maintaining project documentation and SharePoint systems * Handling inbox enquiries and stakeholder communications * Supporting reporting, data management, and presentation preparation * Contributing to wider team activities, including communications and engagement work What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who is: * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail * Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines * Experienced in administration, purchasing, and financial processes * A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills * Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a remote team Essential skills & experience: * Background in business administration, project management, or similar (or equivalent experience) * Experience with financial systems or ability to learn quickly * Strong Microsoft Office skills (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) * Experience managing stakeholder queries Desirable: * Experience with PowerPoint, websites, or social media * Awareness of water or environmental issues Benefits * 26 days annual leave (increasing with service) + bank holidays * Bonus scheme * Employer pension contributions up to 12% * Private health insurance * Flexible working arrangements * Monthly team meetups * Ongoing training and development opportunities Why Join ?
