Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

The OpportunityHays is working with a well-established facilities management provider to recruit an experienced HVAC Engineer for a site-based role maintaining a large commercial to the Technical Services Manager, you will join a small, professional HVAC team. While support is available, the role will largely involve lone working, so confidence, independence and strong technical capability are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems
• Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
• Fault-find, diagnose and repair HVAC plant and equipment
• Complete minor installation, refurbishment and upgrade works
• Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and KPIs
• Accurately complete all job documentation via PDA or paper job sheets
• Maintain strict Health & Safety standards, ensuring RAMS are in place

Essential Requirements

• City & Guilds qualification in Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
• F-Gas Category 1 qualification - MUST have
• Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
• Full UK driving licence
• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach
• Good communication skills and a professional manner

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience working within commercial facilities management
• Hydrocarbon refrigerant qualification
• Additional First Aid or Health & Safety certifications
