Estimator – Residential & Commercial Developments Location: Swansea Salary: Up to £75,000 + Package A well-established and expanding construction company is looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join its commercial team in Swansea. Working across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial developments, this is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key role in securing and delivering high-quality projects throughout South Wales. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a range of construction projects. You will work closely with directors, commercial staff, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and commercially sound bids. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for residential and commercial developments * Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation * Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers * Produce bills of quantities and pricing schedules * Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions * Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout the tender process * Assist with procurement and budgeting during pre-construction phases * Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases Requirements * Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry * Experience working on residential and/or commercial developments * Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing * Excellent numerical, analytical, and commercial skills * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications * Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office packages * Strong communication and organisational abilities * Full UK driving licence preferred What’s on Offer * Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience * Company pension scheme * Car allowance or company vehicle * Bonus potential * Supportive and collaborative working environment * Long-term career progression with a growing business * Exposure to a varied pipeline of exciting developments across South Wales
