Maintenance engineer Salary: £49,500-£51,000 Location: Wrexham Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 days / 2 nights) gap technical is proud to be representing a leading FMCG/food manufacturing business in its search for Maintenance Engineers to join a modern production facility near Wrexham.

Key Responsibilities Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption to production.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and implement corrective actions for recurring faults.
Prioritise maintenance activities within your designated production area.
Diagnose faults efficiently using technical documentation and machine history.
Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
Support and train operators in basic maintenance tasks and assist with more complex repairs when required.
Maintain machinery in line with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving reliability.
Candidate Requirements Completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship (preferred).
Multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias.
Previous experience within food, FMCG, or packaging manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
