Field Service Engineer Location: Basingstoke (UK & occasional European travel) Salary: £40,000 overtime & allowances (strong earning potential) Additional Benefits: Car allowance, expenses covered The Field Service Engineer Opportunity An established engineering-led organisation is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a technical team.

The role offers a mixture of site-based and office-based work, supporting customers across the UK and occasionally Europe.
This position would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on engineering work, varied technical challenges, and regular interaction with customers.
The Role You will be involved in the installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding of complex engineering systems and equipment.The working pattern is typically split between customer sites and the office.
Travel requirements are predictable, with most site work involving short trips and occasional periods away from home.
Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and support industrial engineering systems Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults Carry out system testing and commissioning activities Use test equipment to support fault-finding and diagnostics Provide clear technical support and communication to customers Complete documentation and service reports as required About You Engineering background with a strong electrical or electronic bias Comfortable working hands-on with technical equipment and systems Experience in a service, commissioning, or support-focused engineering role Familiar with electrical test equipment and fault-finding techniques Basic awareness of PLCs, control systems, or automation (training available) Organised, professional, and customer-focused Willing to travel as part of the role Whats on Offer Competitive basic salary with overtime and allowances increasing total earnings Car allowance Fully expensed travel and subsistence Structured technical training and development Opportunity to join a stable, growing business with long-term prospects.
