Specialist Teaching Assistant As Veritas Education continues to grow across the North East, we are actively recruiting Specialist Teaching Assistants to support a range of special schools across County Durham. We are offering a variety of opportunities, including daily supply cover, short-term placements, and long-term temporary roles, with immediate starts available. The Ideal Candidate: Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable but not essential) Has previous experience in SEN settings, childcare, or youth work (highly desirable) Is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs Is reliable, adaptable, and confident working in specialist education environmentsWhat We Offer: Pay rates: £95-£105 per day A variety of flexible working opportunities Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Opportunities to gain further experience within specialist education settingsA DBS registered on the Update Service is required; however, we can assist with this for successful applicants.
