Service & Repair Engineer

Since 1984, my client has provided solutions and expertise which have enabled manufacturers, 3rd party logistic providers and retailers to rapidly adapt and be at the forefront of their ever-changing markets.   As the Service and Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end support for a diverse range of Auto-ID and industrial automation technologies. The role will require the engineer to divide their time between being office-based at the repair centre and performing configuration, testing, repair and deployment of equipment and being field-based, which would require attending customer sites to conduct installations, commissioning, preventative maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting or repair of equipment, including complex automation systems.   What we would like from the Service and Repair Engineer: Experience in a relevant technical role, such as field service or industrial automation Strong technical and IT skills, with a good background in electrical and mechanical systems Hands-on experience with any of the following: AMRs, print and apply systems, Machine Vision, or FIS scanners and working knowledge of device configuration for brands like Zebra, Honeywell, or Datalogic Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills A team player with a helpful, positive, calm, and methodical approach Pro-active approach to resolving problems and able to organise work priorities Must have the flexibility and willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays, as required by customer site visits Full UK Driving Licence  What we offer the Service and Repair Engineer: Salary between £30,000 to £35,000 doe 25 days annual leave Bank holidays Company pension (after completion of probation) Private Medical (after completion of probation) Private Insurance (after completion of probation) Life Insurance (after completion of probation) Cycle to Work Scheme Extensive Training provided  If this opportunity as a Service and Repair Engineer is of interest to you, don’t hesitate to get in touch asap!
