Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care 🌟 📄 Job Type: Permanent, Full Time 🔁 Shift Pattern: 2 on / 3 off ⏰ Shifts: 8:00am – 10:00pm + sleep-in 🛏️ 🌙 Includes evenings & weekends 💷 Pay: £14.50 per hour (unqualified) / £15.00 per hour (qualified) 💼 Overview Aura Education is recruiting for a Team Leader to work within a children’s residential care home, supporting young people to thrive 🌱 This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll lead shifts, support staff, and create a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people can develop and reach their full potential 💙 🔑 Key Responsibilities Lead and manage staff during shifts to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the home 🏡 Support and mentor residential care staff on duty 👥 Build positive relationships with young people and support their individual needs 🤝 Act as a Key Worker, supporting care and placement plans 📋 Plan, risk assess and supervise activities 🎯 Maintain accurate records and reports 📝 Ensure safeguarding procedures and care standards are followed 🛡️ Participate in an on-call rota ☎️ ✅ Requirements Experience working with children or young people in residential care 👶 Strong leadership and communication skills 💬 Ability to manage a shift and support a team effectively 🔄 Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Residential Care (or equivalent) desirable 🎓 (or willingness to complete within 2 years) 🎓 Training Full induction and training provided, including: Safeguarding 🛡️ Physical intervention training 💪 🎁 What We Offer Permanent, full-time role 📅 Competitive hourly pay 💷 Ongoing training and career development opportunities 📈 Supportive and experienced management team
