Head of Fleet

We’re Hiring: Head of Fleet – Pickfords Are you an experienced fleet professional ready to lead at a national level? Pickfords is looking for a Head of Fleet to take ownership of our UK-wide vehicle operations, driving compliance and efficiency across the business. 🔧 About the Role You’ll be responsible for managing a fleet of approximately 200 vehicles (3.5T–18T), working closely with operational managers across the UK to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and in full compliance. 📍 Location Midlands-based, with regular attendance at our office near Junction 26 M1 (Nottingham). 💼 What You’ll Be Doing Leading the management of a diverse national fleet. * Ensuring full compliance, including Operator’s Licence oversight * Supporting regional managers with driver and fleet compliance * Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers * Overseeing workshops and service standards across the network * Managing fleet costs, fines, and day-to-day expenditure * Handling fleet administration (V5s, purchase orders, etc.) * Producing weekly reports for senior leadership ✅ What We’re Looking For * Transport Manager CPC (essential) * Recent hands-on fleet management experience * Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements * Excellent stakeholder management skills * Experience managing commercial vehicles (highly desirable) If you’re ready to take the lead in a critical operational role and make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you
