Civil Engineer 💰 £38,000 – £42,000 + Benefits 📍 Liverpool (Hybrid Working) 🏗️ Infrastructure / Drainage / Multidisciplinary Projects About the Company Our client is an established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with offices across the UK and a strong presence in the North West. They deliver civil and structural engineering services across a wide range of sectors, including: Residential developments Commercial and industrial schemes Education and healthcare projects Retail and mixed-use developments Their civil engineering team supports projects from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction, working closely with in-house structural teams, architects, and developers. The Role They are looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join their Liverpool office, supporting a growing and varied pipeline of projects. This is a well-rounded role offering exposure to both infrastructure and drainage design, with the opportunity to work across multiple sectors rather than purely residential. Key Responsibilities Design of drainage, highways, and external works for development projects Preparation of: Drainage Strategies Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) Levels and earthworks design Production of drawings using AutoCAD / Civil 3D Liaison with local authorities, water companies, and stakeholders Support planning applications and technical approvals (S104, S38, S278) Work collaboratively with internal structural teams What They’re Looking For Experience in civil engineering design (consultancy environment) Background in infrastructure and drainage for development projects Proficiency with AutoCAD and drainage software (MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage) Understanding of UK standards and approval processes Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
