HGV Class One Driver – 11 Car Transporter (Tramping) Location: Suffolk Contract: Full-Time, Permanent OTE: £56,000 per annum over 48 hours a week - 26 Week period Role Overview Our client is currently recruiting HGV Class One Tramper Drivers to operate modern 11-car drawbar transporters. This is a permanent position based in the Suffolk area, offering nationwide tramping and the opportunity to work with a range of prestigious vehicle brands. Important: You must have a minimum of 6 months’ current experience transporting 11 vehicles (Lohr / TE Plus or similar) to be eligible for this role. Shift Pattern Monday to Friday Day shifts or trampingUp to 4 nights out per week may be required Key Responsibilities Operating a modern HGV Class One drawbar car transporter Nationwide tramping, transporting up to 11 vehicles per load Collection and delivery of prestigious car brands and vans Safe loading, securing, and unloading of vehicles Ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all safety, compliance, and legal regulations Maintaining excellent communication with customers and traffic teams Driver Requirements Valid HGV Class One (C+E) Licence Minimum 1 year HGV Class One driving experience At least 6 months’ current experience on 11-car transporters (Lohr / TE Plus or similar)Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card No more than 6 penalty points No IN, DD, or DR endorsements Self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and customer-focused About the Operation The company operates the latest transport engineering equipment, capable of carrying between 1 and 11 vehicles depending on size. All drivers are fully trained and experienced in the use of these transporters, ensuring a professional, reliable, and flexible service. Vehicles are transported for a wide range of customers, including: Military personnel Car rental companies Car dealerships Auction houses Private vehicle owners Transporters regularly operate nationwide from the Brandon base, covering all areas of the UK.
