Job Advert: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Salford Area (Greater Manchester) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Temporary / Long-Term Placements Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm (Full-Time) We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist or mainstream school setting in the Salford area. This is a full-time role with an immediate start. Role Overview: As a Complex Needs TA, you will be working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, which may include autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and communication challenges. You will support both their academic progress and personal development within a structured and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex needs Assisting with personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies Supporting communication needs using appropriate methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, visual aids) Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff Promoting independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND/complex needs (essential) Calm, patient, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt support to individual pupil needs Relevant TA qualification or childcare experience desirable Pay Rate: £109.85 - £120 per day (depending on experience) Apply: Apply directly here or contact: 📧 📞 (phone number removed)
