Freight Forwarder Location: Liverpool Salary £32,000 - £37,000 DOE Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 Our client is a well-established, family-run logistics business with a long-standing reputation in freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution. They are seeking a passionate and driven Freight Forwarder to join their growing team. Key role responsibilities: Coordinate and manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations across import and export shipments Liaise with carriers, overseas agents, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth and timely movement of goods Prepare, check, and process all required shipping and customs documentation accurately Monitor shipment progress and provide regular updates to customers and stakeholders Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or delays as they arise Ensure full compliance with relevant transport, customs, and trade regulations Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions Maintain accurate records across all shipments, including tracking, billing, and documentation Deliver a high standard of customer service, responding promptly to queries and requests Experience across both import and export freight operations Job skills required: Freight forwarding experience minimum 2 years' experience Someone who can take ownership and see the job through from start to finish. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail Proven ability to problem-solve quickly and make effective decisions under pressure Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Highly driven, self-motivated, and committed to achieving results Package & Benefits: Salary £32,000-£37,000 DOE 6% company pension scheme 25 days holiday + bank holidays Streamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
