Contract Manager / Operations Director (Groundworks & RC Frame) Location: Surrey & Surrounding Areas Salary: Competitive + Package (DOE) We are currently representing a well-established and growing Groundworks & Civil Engineering subcontractor, specialising in reinforced concrete (RC) frame projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager / Operations Director–level professional to join their senior leadership team. This is a key strategic hire, with the successful candidate playing a pivotal role in overseeing multiple projects while helping to strengthen operational structure and delivery performance across the business. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee and manage multiple Groundworks and RC Frame projects from pre-construction through to completion * Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards * Work closely with commercial and pre-construction teams to support tendering and procurement strategies * Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, clients, and stakeholders * Drive operational efficiency, programme performance, and health & safety compliance * Support business growth by contributing to strategic planning and process improvement Requirements: * Proven experience in a Contract Manager or Operations Director role within a subcontractor environment * Strong background in groundworks and RC frame construction is essential * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills * Commercially aware with a strong understanding of project delivery and risk management * Ambitious and capable of operating at a senior level within a growing business Opportunity: This role offers a genuine opportunity to step into a high-impact position within a dynamic contractor, with the scope to influence business operations and support continued expansion.
