Senior Buyer

Senior Buyer / Procurement Lead – Engineering / Construction. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a leading engineering and services business, supporting a strong pipeline of projects across the UK, notably within the Bristol, South Wales and Southwest. This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional with MEP / construction experience to take ownership of procurement activities across multiple projects, combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery. Key Responsibilities, * Lead all procurement activities across assigned projects * Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve best value * Act as procurement lead within project teams from tender through to delivery * Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and improvement plans * Support bid teams with procurement data, market insight, and expertise * Establish and manage project procurement targets and savings trackers * Develop SLAs with key suppliers (national and project-specific) * Produce procurement reports and contribute to performance dashboards * Attend project, contract, and post-project review meetings * Support continuous improvement and development of the procurement function Requirements, * Proven experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer within MEP, engineering, or construction * Strong experience delivering procurement across live projects * Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach * Experience working with both project teams and central procurement functions * Strong stakeholder management and supplier negotiation skills In return, * Competitive salary (circa £60,000 - £65,000) per annum, Car scheme (hybrid/electric) or allowance, Pension (up to 8% employer contribution), Private medical insurance, 27 days AL + bank, and various further benefits there on.
