Job Title: Head of Year Area: Hackney, East London Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Salary: MPS UPS plus TLR1c Working hours: Full time Brief description: An exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to join a secondary school as Head of Year, leading pastoral care, improving behaviour and driving student achievement across a year group. About the role: You will provide strong pastoral leadership for a designated year group, ensuring excellent behaviour, attendance and academic progress. The role involves working closely with senior leaders, subject staff and tutors to implement effective strategies, track progress and support students. You will play a key part in developing a positive school culture and raising standards across the year group.
