About the role
Central Recruitment is a recruitment company sourcing an Operations Administrator for our client based in Blackburn.
An Operations Administrators main duties are to support the effective running of any current operations / campaigns. Provide management information / report to all section managers and to communicate well and be an effective part of a large ever growing team.
The company works a 24 hour operation, this specific role will run over two of three shifts. Monday - Friday 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm rotating weekly.
Daily duties
* Carrying out the daily picking allocations in line with the site pick waves.
* Identifying any orders with allocation and following through either by liaising with goods in for goods awaiting putaway or raising internal transfer orders.
* Confirming WMS transactions as instructed i.e. putaway and picking.
* Organise and provide quotes for dedicated transport. Liaison with delivering drivers
* Supporting with administration updating traffic calendar and scanning delivery paperwork.
* Controlling and releasing adhoc receipts in line with operational throughput capabilities.
* Query management from Operations and client services in relation to unpicked orders.
* Run inbound reports and flag any receipts that are close to the SLA time limit.
* Communicate with shift managers over any issues.
* Deal with WMS issues.
* General data input across internal reporting.
* Maintain a safe working environment, observing health and safety procedures at all times. Ensure that the work area is kept clean and free from hazards and waste at all times.
* Undertake other duties as required in order to support the business in achieving excellence for all customers.

* Ensure all issues are resolved correctly and within agreed timescales.

Person Specification
Conscientious, hardworking, trustworthy and accurate individual who can work to timed deadlines. Must have a logical approach and have the ability to both understand the operational requirements and the priorities on any given day and organise workload accordingly. This is a busy and challenging role. The candidate will have a positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to accept responsibility
