Graduate Learning & Inclusion Mentor (SEND Focus) Location: Barking, London Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time Start Date: ASAP About the Role Are you a graduate eager to build a meaningful career in education, psychology, or child development? We are working with a network of inclusive and forward-thinking primary and secondary schools in Barking, seeking motivated graduates to join as Learning & Inclusion Mentors. This role offers hands-on experience supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs in dynamic classroom settings. What You’ll Be Doing Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons Helping create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment Supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic development Monitoring progress and contributing to student support plans Encouraging confidence, independence, and active participationWho We’re Looking For A graduate (Arts, Psychology, Education, or Science backgrounds welcome) Experience working with children or young people (school, tutoring, care, coaching, etc.) Strong communication skills and a proactive, empathetic approach Calm, patient, and adaptable under pressure A genuine interest in SEND, education, or child development Teaching Assistant qualifications are a bonus, but not essentialWhy This Role?
