Electrician (HIU & Meters)

Electrician for Meters role – Overview We are working with an established service provider who work with Heat & Energy Network operations to look after their HIU and Metering & Billings systems. They are looking for an Electrician with experience on meters to join the team in London area. The company have been established for over 10 years with multiple offices round the country. Day to day, you will travel throughout your local area carrying out minor installation works on metering and billing systems including work in the plant room connecting power to new meters. You will also work on wiring and repairs of Heat Interface Units. The working hours are 08:30-5:00pm Monday – Friday with overtime available in the evenings and weekends however there is NO CALL OUT ROTA. They can also be flexible with start and finish time to fit around family life and believe in good work life balance. One of the perks of this role is it is completely door to door. Your hourly rate is £20.08 per hour and you are paid from the minute you leave to the minute you get home. This means that should you have an hour travel to site, complete your work then an hour travel home, you will be paid for a 10 hour day rather than the usual 8. Likewise, if you are unfortunately stuck in traffic for a long period of time, you are still getting paid for the entire journey. Because of this, your earnings tend to accumulate quite quickly. As an example: * If you were to travel 30 minutes each way + your 40 hours on site, across the year you would earn: £46,800 * If you were to travel 1 hour each way + your 40 hours on site, across the year you would earn £52,000 Electrician for Meters – Requirements * Experience on minor installation of Metering & Billing systems * 18th Edition * NVQ Level 2/3 Field HIU Engineer – Salary & Remuneration * Salary of £20.08 per hour (OTE £52,000) * Door to Door Travel Pay (paid from the minute you leave to the minute you get home every day) * Company Van & Fuel Card * NO call out rota * Tools, Uniform, PPE * Overtime (1.3x, 1.5x) * 25 days holiday + BH * Private Healthcare * Sick Pay * Ongoing training and progression * Pension
