Deputy Manager – Residential Children’s Home - 4 Bed EBD Salary: £30,888 per annum (36-hour contract) | £41,188 per annum (48-hour contract)  Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Location: Thorne, DN8 Benefits £30,888 per annum for a 36-hour contract £41,188 per annum for a 48-hour contract Comprehensive induction and ongoing training programmes Excellent career progression opportunities within the Hennessy Group Company pension scheme Discounted or free meals whilst on shift On-site parking Ongoing professional development and funded qualifications Supportive management team and high staff-to-child ratios Opportunity to work within a provider recognised for excellence in care Enhanced DBS paid for by the employer Qualifications and Experience Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare Minimum of 2 years’ experience within residential childcare Previous experience in a supervisory or senior support role Strong understanding of safeguarding and childcare legislation Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Resilient, confident, and able to make informed decisions under pressure Flexible approach to shift work, including evenings and weekends Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 12 months Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager with the overall management of the children’s home Lead shifts and oversee the daily operation of the service Supervise, support, and develop residential care staff Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are maintained Assist with care planning, risk assessments, reviews, and case conferences Monitor and maintain accurate records and documentation Promote positive outcomes for children and young people through child-centred care practices Support behaviour management and emotional wellbeing strategies Participate in the staff rota, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required Act as the lead person in the absence of the Registered Manager To apply for this role, please contact Tabitha at Purosearch on (phone number removed) or send your CV for immediate consideration to (url removed)
