Gateman / Traffic Marshall

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Traffic Marshall / Gateman to join our team on a busy construction site. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling vehicle movements, ensuring site access is managed efficiently, and maintaining a safe working environment for staff, visitors, and the public. Key Responsibilities: * Direct and manage the movement of vehicles entering and leaving the site * Ensure safe loading and unloading of deliveries * Maintain clear communication with drivers, site management, and operatives * Monitor site access points and ensure only authorised personnel enter * Log deliveries and visitor entries accurately * Assist with general site duties when required * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times * Report any incidents, hazards, or near misses to site management Requirements: * Valid Traffic Marshall / Banksman ticket (e.g., CPCS or NPORS) * Previous experience in a similar role on construction sites * Strong awareness of health and safety practices * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to remain alert and focused in a fast-paced environment * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
