HGV Technician   Location: Reading Hours: Flexibility on working patterns for the right candidate  Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE) + overtime at 1.5x basic rate   An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a leading commercial vehicle service centre in the Reading area. This permanent role offers excellent earning potential, structured working hours, and access to continuous training and development within a modern, well-equipped workshop.   Key Responsibilities Perform inspections, servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a range of HGVs. Carry out preventative maintenance and ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards. Support workshop efficiency by keeping accurate job records and documentation. Conduct wheel alignment, tyre fitting, and general mechanical upkeep. Maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and compliance. Skills & Experience Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI). Proven experience working on HGVs or trailers in a dealership or fleet environment. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with attention to quality and safety. Full UK driving licence (HGV desirable but not essential). Professional attitude, teamwork, and commitment to high service standards.
