Pastoral Support Officer - Secondary School (Daventry) Location: Daventry Start Date: ASAP Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in their day-to-day school experience? Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Officer to work in a mainstream secondary school in Daventry, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine interest in student wellbeing, attendance, and pastoral care. The Role: As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping to create a positive and structured learning environment. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting students with behaviour and attendance across the school Working closely with pupils to promote positive choices and engagement Liaising with parents/carers, teachers, and senior leadership team (SLT) Monitoring attendance and following up on absences Providing 1:1 and small group pastoral support Assisting with behaviour interventions and reintegration strategies Contributing to a safe and supportive school environment The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with young people (school, care, youth work, or similar) Strong behaviour management and communication skills Confident liaising with parents and external stakeholders Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach A genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing and development What We Offer: Competitive daily rates of pay Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Opportunity to work in a welcoming and supportive secondary school Potential for long-term or permanent opportunitiesIf you're ready to take the next step in your career and make a real impact, apply today or contact Tradewind Recruitment to find out more
