Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (PPA Cover) Location: Primary Schools in Blackburn, Darwen & Accrington Start Date: June 2026 Job Description: We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide PPA cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in a range of primary schools. This role involves delivering pre‑planned lessons, supporting whole‑class learning, and maintaining a positive, engaging classroom environment in the teacher's absence. You will work with a variety of classes and year groups, ensuring continuity of learning and supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs. Responsibilities Include: Delivering prepared lessons to whole classes during PPA time Supporting pupils' learning and behaviour management Following and adapting lesson materials where appropriate Working collaboratively with school staff to maintain a consistent learning environment Providing additional support to groups or individuals as directedRequirements: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Experience supporting learning across primary year groups Confidence delivering pre‑planned lessons to whole classes Strong understanding of the primary curriculum Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)Benefits: Competitive pay rates up to £17.71 p/h Opportunities to work flexibly across multiple schools Professional development and training available Supportive school environments with experienced staff teamsSafeguarding & Application Requirements: All applicants are required to complete an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, provide professional references, and obtain Overseas Police Clearances where applicable.
