Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker - SEMH School Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term About the Role: Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Mental Health Support Worker to work in a specialist SEMH school in Corby. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs Build strong, positive relationships to support emotional wellbeing and engagement Assist in managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques Support the implementation of individual behaviour and support plans Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to create a safe learning environment Encourage positive social interactions and emotional development Monitor and report on student progress, behaviour, and wellbeingThe Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural, or mental health needs A calm, patient, and resilient approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to different situations and respond to challenging behaviour Understanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresDesirable (but not essential): Experience in a school, PRU, or alternative provision Relevant qualifications in mental health, youth work, or education Training in behaviour management (e.g. Team Teach)Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
