Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Must be confident with behaviour management, de-escalation and classroom support

Do you have strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting disengaged pupils?

The Role - Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant
Seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a PRU setting. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage behaviour, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. The role combines classroom support with behaviour intervention, including implementing support plans, using de-escalation techniques, promoting positive behaviour and assisting pupils to access lessons within a structured environment.

This pupil referral unit is located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and is within walking distance of a nearby National Rail station. The provision supports pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, offering personalised learning, strong behaviour support and clear reintegration pathways.
