We’re working with a highly progressive fresh produce business seeking an outstanding Harvest Manager to take full ownership of harvest operations across a diverse and fast-paced farming enterprise.
This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of a commercial operation where timing, quality, and people management are everything.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take full accountability for harvest delivery across multiple high-value crops, ensuring:
* Quality is exceptional
* Harvest windows are met
* Labour is optimised and motivated
* Costs are controlled
* Standards and compliance are maintained
You’ll be working closely with a strong on-site management team across field, crop, and packhouse operations, playing a critical role in aligning harvest with commercial and production targets.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Leading and developing a large, seasonal, multicultural workforce
* Driving harvest performance, productivity, and quality standards
* Full ownership of labour planning, allocation, and performance management
* Working closely with crop and packhouse teams to ensure seamless delivery from field to customer
* Managing harvest data, payroll inputs, and operational reporting
* Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
* Ensuring full compliance across health & safety, food safety, and workforce policies
The Cropping Environment
You’ll be operating across a varied and commercially driven crop mix, including:
* Asparagus
* Blueberries
* Broccoli
* Beans
This is a business where attention to detail and pace of execution directly impact bottom-line performance.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in harvest or farm management within fresh produce or agriculture
* Strong track record of leading large teams in high-pressure, seasonal environments
* A hands-on, lead-from-the-front management style
* Excellent organisational and decision-making capability
* Confidence in managing performance, discipline, and workforce engagement
* Ability to interpret and act on operational data and KPIs
* Solid understanding of health & safety and compliance standards
Experience with fresh produce crops and performance-based labour systems would be a distinct advantage.
