Production Operative

Production Assembler Hours: Monday - Thursday: 08:00-16:30 / Friday: 08:00-16:00 Pay Rate: £12.71 - £13.50 per hour We are currently supporting a well‑established engineering and manufacturing organisation based in the UK who require Mechanical Assemblers to join their production team on a monthly rolling contract. This is a hands‑on assembly role within a clean, structured manufacturing environment, working on the build and assembly of complex engineered enclosures and equipment. Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Assembler Mechanical assembly of engineered units and sub‑assemblies Working from engineering drawings and assembly instructions Use of hand tools and basic power tools Fitting components, panels and fixtures to a high standard Carrying out visual and quality checks during the build process Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work areaSkills & Experience for the successful Mechanical Assembler Previous experience as a Mechanical Assembler or Production Assembler Ability to read and follow technical drawings or work instructions Good manual dexterity and attention to detail Background in mechanical, fabrication, or equipment assembly environments preferred Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a small teamThese positions are being managed exclusively by an outsourced recruitment partner, and all applications will be handled in confidence.
