Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
The Job Role
We are looking for a Traffic Marshall Supervisor and General Traffic Marshall Banksmen to oversee and manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians in designated areas for a large construction site in London. The successful candidate will ensure safety and efficiency while maintaining clear communication with drivers and pedestrians. This role is crucial in preventing accidents and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and ensuring the traffic management on-site is maintained and checked whilst on-site Mon-Fri.
Responsibilities
- Direct and control the movement of vehicles and pedestrians in a safe manner.
- Monitor traffic flow to prevent congestion and ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions and guidance.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on traffic management equipment to ensure functionality.
- Report any incidents or hazards to the appropriate authorities promptly.
- Assist in the implementation of traffic management plans during construction activities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on duty.
Qualifications
- Traffic Marshall / Banksman role require NPORS card / Marshall Banksman Card / CSCS Skilled Worker Card.
- SSSTS Traffic Marshall Supervisor role (desirable but not essential).
- Proven experience in supervisory roles for the Traffic Marshal Supervisor position and 2 years experience in Traffic Marshalling for the Banksman positions.
- Traffic Management maintenance skills to ensure all equipment is in optimal condition.
- Valid driving licence
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety protocols. This position requires an individual who is proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
