As one of the world’s largest construction and development companies, we work together with customers, communities and partners to shape a better society.You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.We are currently looking for a Project Engineer - MEP who will:As the Project Engineer - MEP, you will:Technical AssuranceThis role is responsible for developing a technical assurance flowchart and breakdown of work packages as directed by the construction manager and construction team leads (sub-agents/agents).This must be presented and agreed with the area technical assurance lead.Maintenance of this in line with emerging subcontract procurement and works delivery changes.General AssuranceUnderstanding and ensuring the asset trackers are maintained, that the project CDE reflects plans and can be used to interrogate progress.Assurance planningWorking with the delivery engineers to have an assurance lookahead programme for each work package, in place and populated no more than 2 weeks after the completion of the package.To report on this weekly to the leads with justifications and mitigations for date movements.We are looking for:Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in EngineeringIdeally you are currently working at sub agent levelExtensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software)Relevant CSCS Card Training in Health & Safety and Environmental managementExperience of temporary works and earthworks experience is a preference, but the correct engineering acumen is more importantWhat we offer:24/7 digital GP service for you and your family Financial wellbeing and employee assistance Professional development Enhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave) Inclusion and Diversity We thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
