HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic - Fleet Workshop

Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent £18.00+ per hour £27.00 overtime Permanent We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join our in-house workshop in Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent, maintaining a 30 -vehicle mixed fleet of Class 1, Class 2, 7.5t and vans. This is a workshop-based fleet role, working alongside one other experienced technician, with planned maintenance, realistic job times and proper support. Pay & Hours: Negotiable - £18.00+ per hour depending on experience 40 hours per week Overtime paid at £27.00 per hour Day / noon shifts: 8am-5pm or 12pm-9pm Every other Saturday (paid at overtime rate) What we offer: Stable fleet work (no constant breakdown pressure) Clean, organised workshop Modern diagnostic equipment and manufacturer tooling Proper planning and scheduling Supportive, close-knit team environment Training provided where required On-site parking and easy access (not city-centre) Flexibility with hours can be discussed The role: Servicing, maintenance and repair of Class 1 & Class 2 vehicles 6-weekly inspections MOT preparation and presentation Fault diagnosis and rectification using manufacturer diagnostics Completion of job cards and service paperwork Liaising with colleagues and suppliers Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience with heavy vehicle maintenance essential HGV licence advantageous but not essential Full UK driving licence Reliable, professional approach If you are an HGV Technician xrlawcv looking for steady fleet work, paid overtime and a workshop that's run properly, we would like to hear from you.
