The business has been operating for more than 20 years and delivers mechanical, electrical and wider project services across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and public sector environments.

You will join a close-knit team where decisions are made quickly, senior management is accessible and you will have the freedom to run your projects properly.You will manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover, covering design coordination, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.

The workload includes commercial fit-out and refurbishment, mechanical upgrades, HVAC installations, plantrooms, landlord and tenant works, and design and build schemes.

It is a hands-on role with plenty of ownership and the opportunity to work across a varied project portfolio.The RoleManage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to practical completion and handoverTake control of programmes, design coordination, procurement, installation, testing and commissioningCoordinate subcontractors, engineers, supervisors, suppliers and site teamsMonitor budgets, variations, valuations, forecasts and project performanceWork closely with clients, consultants, main contractors and the wider design teamLead progress, design, technical and subcontractor meetingsManage RFIs, technical queries, design changes and project documentationCoordinate mechanical services with electrical, architectural and structural packagesKeep quality, health and safety, RAMS, permits and CDM requirements on trackDeal with technical, commercial and programme issues and report progress to senior managementWhat You’ll NeedExperience working as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services or M&EA background delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment or design and build projectsGood technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, ventilation, chilled water, LTHW, domestic water services, drainage, BMS integration and plantroomsExperience managing subcontractors, site teams, programmes and procurementCommercial awareness, including budgets, variations and cost controlGood knowledge xwzovoh of UK construction, health and safety and CDM requirementsSMSTS and CSCSA mechanical qualification such as an HNC, HND or degree would be useful, although strong practical experience will also be consideredBased within commuting distance of Milton Keynes and able to travel to project locations when requiredSalary & PackageBasic salary up to 75,000Company car or car allowanceBonusSecure pipeline of work with a well-established contractorVaried projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and public sector environmentsVisible role with direct access to senior decision-makersSupportive team and a straightforward working environmentTraining, development and scope to take on more responsibility as the business growsApply now if you are a Mechanical Project Manager looking for a well-paid, long-term role with an established M&E contractor in Milton Keynes.
