Working for a Tier 2 contractor, Supporting a Commercial Manager in delivering a £1.5m & a follow on £5m scheme in the Rail sector

Location: Ashford office 2 days a week

Duration: 9 months (Working in the office 2 days a week, 3 days a week from home)

Pay rate: £350 per day (Outside of IR35)

Role Description:

The Resolute Group is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial team to support the deliver of 2x minor schemes, following on from each other. Focused on Minor works on Civil Engineering projects working in the rail sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved on the CP7 Framework, and a perfect chance for a Quantity surveyor to have a secure project to deliver on a freelance basis. Supporting your development in to leading and completing projects under a NEC form of contract with Network Rail.

Day to day duties will vary but could include:

• Contract administration under the Main Contract and Subcontracts.
• Support the team with management of subcontract payment notices in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic cost/value reconciliation reports.
• Identify risks and opportunities in the administration of the contract.
• Monitoring of planned vs actual cost across disciplines (Labour, Plant, Material, and Subcontract).
• Timely issue of contractual notices and quotations under the project.

Required Experience:

• A Qualification be it HNC / HND or full Degree ideally in Quantity Surveying or other related subject.
• Supported by experience as a Quantity Surveyor on Infrastructure projects under NEC forms of contract.
